Syracuse earned a No. 4 seed in the NCAA tournament. Meanwhile, Albany, Iona and LIU Brooklyn all got double-digit seeds.
The NCAA Tournament bracket is officially set. Sixty-eight teams will be facing off for the elusive national championship.
The Syracuse Orange earned the No. 4 seed in the East region, and will be playing the No. 14 Montana Grizzlies in San Jose on Thursday. The winner of that game will face either UNLV or California in the third round on Saturday.
As for other New York area teams, the Albany Great Danes got a No. 15 seed in the Midwest and will play the Duke Blue Devils in Philadelphia on Friday. The Iona Gaels are the No. 15 seed in the West and are set to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in Dayton on Friday. Finally, the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds are in the First Four and take on James Madison on Wednesday.
