Knicks vs Magic 2013 results: New York picks up road win against Orlando

The New York Knicks defeated the Orlando Magic on the road 111-106.

The New York Knicks picked up a road victory on Saturday, defeating the Orlando Magic 111-106 at the Amway Center in Orlando.

The Knicks and the Magic traded scoring runs, with each team dominating alternate quarters. The Magic had an impressive offensive first quarter, leading 36-27 after the first 12 minutes. The Knicks dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Magic 32-19 to take a 59-55 lead at halftime.

Orlando played much better in the third quarter, outscoring New York by 12 to take an eight point lead. The Knicks rebounded in the final quarter, outscoring Orlando by 16 to ice the game.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks in scoring with 40 points while shooting 14-28 from the field. Tyson Chandler posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Jason Kidd chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists.

Jameer Nelson and Arron Afflalo each had impressive games, with both players scoring 29 points. Andrew Nicholson, however, was the only other Magic player in double figures with 11 points.
