After four rounds of play at the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston, Rory McIlroy came out as the champion. McIlroy finished the fourth round at four-under, improving him to -20 overall for the tournament. Louis Oosthuizen finished in second place at -19. Oosthuizen and McIlroy battled throughout all of Monday, and both missed putts late that could have secured a victory.
Tiger Woods continued to play well and finished at -18 for the tournament after shooting five-under in the final round. He will remain near the top of the leaderboard in the FedEx Cup standings. On a personal note, Woods' finish made him the first PGA Tour player to surpass the $100 million mark for career earnings.
Phil Mickelson played his best round on Monday, shooting a -5 to improve his overall score to -14 for the tournament. Mickelson has struggled throughout most of the year, but the high finish should move him up on the FedEx Cup leaderboard.
Dustin Johnson shot a one-under 70 in the final round to move him to -14 overall. Brandt Snedeker was near the top of the leaderboard all weekend and finished his 72 holes at 13-under. Adam Scott shot a -5 on Monday to move into a tie with Jeff Overton (-12) for seventh place. Bryce Molder placed ninth at 11-under, while Kevin Stadler and Ryan Moore rounded out the top 10 at -10.
