The Atlanta Braves evened their record with the New York Mets on Saturday night at Turner Field, winning 2-0.

Jason Heyward got an RBI on a groundout in the first inning that turned out to be the game-winning run thanks to a terrific performance by Mike Minor.

Minor was almost unhittable throughout the evening, throwing six and one-thirds frames without surrendering a run. Overall, New York could only muster three hits off of Minor in the contest.

Chris Young pitched an excellent game, but couldn't quite earn the victory. The 6'10'' hurler threw six solid innings but took the loss despite allowing just two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out six.

The Mets only had one extra-base hit in the form of a David Wright double, his 41st of the campaign.

On Sunday, New York will try to take the rubber game of the series with Jenrry Mejia on the hill against Kris Medlen.
