Coming off a huge 35-26 win over Arkansas, Rutgers make their first appearance in the 2012 BlogPoll this week at No. 23.

The Week 5 edition of the BlogPoll is out, and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights make their first appearance of the season this week at no. 23. The Scarlet Knights are coming off a huge win for the program, going down to Fayetteville and beating Arkansas, 35-26. It's an Arkansas program that is struggling mightily at the moment, but a Big East team going down to SEC country and coming back with a win is still a big deal.

Rutgers is unlikely to face another ranked team this year until the season finale on Nov. 29th against the Louisville Cardinals, who come in at No. 18 in the BlogPoll this week. The Knights are off this week, and host a struggling Connecticut team on Oct. 6th.

Alabama held onto the top spot for another week, but both Oregon and Florida State used big wins over ranked opponents to leap over LSU, who struggled to beat Auburn, 12-10.
