Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants are a two-point underdog in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field, according to early odds posted at SB Nation's NFL Odds page powered by Odds Shark.

The Giants are coming off a 36-7 rout of the Carolina Panthers. In that game, running back Ahmad Bradshaw, wide receivers Hakeem Nicks and Domenik Hixon, and offensive tackle David Diehl did not play due to injuries. The Giants did not practice Tuesday, but the Giants had a long list of players skip practice on Monday.

Without the aforementioned players running back Andre Brown and wide receiver Ramses Barden had career-best games for the Giants. Offensive tackle Will Beatty also returned to the starting lineup and performed well.

The Eagles are also 2-1, having won a pair of one-point games. Philadelphia could be staring at a quarterback controversy if you take Andy Reid's recent comments seriously.
