The New York Yankees find themselves in a heated division race as they enter a three-game series Tuesday with the Toronto Blue Jays.
New York has won six of its last 10, including a series win over the Tampa Bay Rays this past weekend. Andy Pettitte takes the mound for the Yankees in his first start in over two months after fracturing his ankle in late June. The 40-year-old's start Tuesday will be his tenth of the season.
For Toronto, Ricky Romero takes the mound looking to end a 13-game winless streak. Romero allowed three runs on eight hits and four walks in only four innings of work against the Seattle Mariners in his last start.
The Yankees presently hold a one-game lead over the Baltimore Orioles in the AL East, while the Orioles hold a Wild Card playoff spot. Click here for complete MLB standings.
