Mets 5, Marlins 3: New York Rallies To Win In Miami

The New York Mets made it two in a row down in Florida on Saturday night, beating the Miami Marlins 5-3 at Marlins Park.

New York couldn't get anything going against Josh Johnson, who went eight strong innings while allowing just one run on three hits and two walks while striking out four.

Luckily for the Mets he ran out of gas. Steve Cishek came in to relieve Johnson in the ninth and was tattooed for four runs (three earned) in just 0.2 innings.

Lucas Duda started the rally with an RBI single off Cishek to cut the Marlins lead to 3-2. Kelly Shoppach then followed with his first clutch hit in blue and orange, singling David Wright and Jason Bay home. Andres Torres also scored on the play due to an error, making the score 5-3.

Jeremy Hefner pitched admirably for the Amazins', ultimately taking the no-decision. The youngster scattered six hits in as many innings, surrendering two runs in the process.
