2012 PGA Championship: Keegan Bradley Confident He Can Defend His Title

St. John's grad Keegan Bradley won the 2011 PGA Championship last season playing in his first ever major tournament. Since that win, Bradley hasn't finished better than 27th in any major. At the 2012 PGA Championship this week, Bradley has confidence that he can defend his PGA Championship after a win in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational on Aug. 5.

Despite a recent win to boost his spirits, Bradley said about watching his PGA Championship win last year on replay. "I have a very hard time watching the replay. I really can't. I get nervous. I get uncomfortable." Sixteen different players have won the last 16 majors, Bradley included. He doesn't know why this phenomenon is occurring.

"I don't think it's quite explainable why it's happening," Bradley said. "I think now you've got guys coming from behind and really putting it to the guy that's leading, and I think you're seeing the guys feeling it a little bit. From what I've been watching, I feel like the guys in second place have looked freed up and shooting really low numbers and coming back and winning tournaments." (via Golf.com)

Bradley will look to get his fourth PGA Tour win and his second win in a major beginning on Thursday when he tees off at 1:40 p.m. with Tiger Woods and Germany's Martin Kaymer. He'll be paired with Woods and Kaymer for the first two rounds of the tournament.
