Mathias Kiwanuka Takes Shot At Cowboys' Owner Jerry Jones

Stay connected for news and updates

The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants don't kickoff the regular season until next Wednesday, but Mathias Kiwanuka and Jerry Jones may already be locked in a battle off the field.

Kiwanuka was a guest on WFAN-AM in New York on Thursday morning. One of the radio show hosts mentioned to him that the Cowboys' owner was quoted as saying he wanted to "beat the Giants' ass." The New York linebacker gave this response:

"(Jones) should. The Giants have been whupping his ass for a long time," he said. "It's gotta be tough on the outside looking in on all these championships lately."

The Cowboys missed the playoffs in 2011. In the process, they lost twice to the Super Bowl-winning Giants in the final four weeks of the regular season.
