Tyler Sash Injury: Giants Safety Sustains Leg Injury At Practice

New York Giants second-year safety Tyler Sash was carted off the field during practice with a lower leg injury on Sunday, according to a report. There is no word on Sash's injury from the Giants and he was taken inside the locker room for evaluation.

Sash made five tackles (three solo) in the Giants' 20-17 preseason loss against the Chicago Bears on Friday. Sash was drafted out of Iowa by the Giants in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He made 17 tackles and forced a fumble during his rookie season.

Earlier in the offseason, Sash was suspended for the first four games of the upcoming 2012 season for the use of adderall. Sash got a prescription for the drug to help him overcome anxiety during public speaking engagements. He said he did not know the substance was banned by the league.

Sash announced earlier on Sunday that he would have a meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss the four-game suspension. The league has already rejected Sash's appeal of the four-game ban.
