Jason Pierre-Paul of the New York Giants sat out Wednesday's practice due to back spasms and will not be playing in the team's game against the Chicago Bears on Friday night, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.
Pierre-Paul will be held out of the game for precautionary reasons and Coughlin stated that if this were a regular season game that the 23-year-old defensive end would have practiced as well as played.
Coughlin said JPP will not play Friday. Says this is more precautionary. Would practice and play if it were the regular season.— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) August 22, 2012
