Mets Vs. Rockies: Mets Drop 2nd Straight to Colorado, 6-2

Mets starter Chris Young was cruising along until the sixth inning, when the Colorado Rockies manufactured four and the Mets were unable to recover, dropping their second straight to the Rockies, 6-2.

For the second straight night, the Mets bats could not hang with the Rockies offense, as they were held to one extra-base hit and two runs. The Mets scored on two sacrifice flies.

Four Rockies relievers combined to go the three innings needed to complete the victory for the Rockies, giving up one combined run.

Young went seven innings against the Rockies, giving up five hits and striking out nine. Two of the runs Young surrendered to the Rockies were unearned, though the error was Young's. Mets relievers combined to finish the night with two innings pitched and two earned runs.

The third match of the four-game series starts tomorrow at 7:10 p.m. ET, as Matt Harvey takes the mound for the Mets against Jeff Francis and the Rockies.
