Syracuse Basketball Recruiting: Wayne Selden Narrows List, Orange In Top 6

Stay connected for news and updates

Wayne Selden, a small forward recruit for the Class of 2013, narrowed his list of possible schools over the weekend, and the Syracuse Orange basketball program made his final list of six. Selden, who's ranked the No. 21-best prospect by Rivals and No. 4-best small forward by Scout, also included Ohio State, Florida, UCLA, Missouri and Kansas in his top six, and eliminated Kentucky and North Carolina.

Here's a brief scouting report on Selden, who plays prep hoops at the Tilton School in New Hampshire:

When on the court, the wing guard is always in attack mode, earning trips to the foul line and going right after some of the tougher defenders and shot blockers on the opposition.

Selden has spent his summer months and AAU seasons running with the Boston-based program, BABC, a group that has had tremendous national success in its tenure.

If Selden commits to SU, the Orange would quickly leap to the top of the recruiting totem poll for 2013. Just last week, Syracuse earned a verbal commitment from Tyler Ennis, a five-star point guard from Newark, NJ.
