2012 Olympic Games: Ryan Lochte Wins Bronze in 200m Backstroke

Ryan Lochte found himself back on the medal stand as he won the bronze medal in finals the 200-meter backstroke at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England. This is the fourth medal of the 2012 Olympic Games for Lochte

The Canandaigua, NY, native finished with a time of 1:53.94, less than half a second behind gold medalist and fellow American Tyler Clary. Clary set an Olympic Record with a time of 1:53.41. Ryosuke Irie took home the silver for Japan, just finishing ahead of Lochte with a time of in 1:53.78.

Lochte will be back in the pool for his second final of the day as he takes on Michael Phelps and the rest of the field in the 200-meter Individual Medley finals.
