Yankees Vs. Rangers Preview: Freddy Garcia To Take The Mound Against Texas

The New York Yankees and Texas Rangers kicked off their three-game set on Tuesday night from Yankee Stadium and the home team emerged victorious by a final score of 3-0.

The series resumes on Wednesday night and the Yankees will send Freddy Garcia to the mound to face the Rangers. In his last six starts versus Texas, Garcia is 4-0 and has an ERA of 1.75. Since replacing Andy Pettite in the rotation -- who is expected to begin throwing long toss this week as he recovers from a fractured left ankle -- the right-hander has gone 4-4 in eight starts to go along with an ERA of 3.83.
