CC Sabathia could miss his next start for the New York Yankees due to "minor sorenes" in his pitching elbow, the New York Daily News reported Saturday. Sabathia is scheduled to pitch Monday against the Texas Rangers.

The Yankees say they have "a low-level concern" about Sabathia.

Still, this is the second time Sabathia (12-3, 3.56 ERA) has had an injury issue this season. The 32-year-old had offseason knee surgery, then missed three weeks this season with a groin injury. Despite having pitched at least 230 innings the past five seasons Sabathia has never had arm trouble.

Daily News Yankees beat writer said that, to his knowledge, Sabathia has not had an MRI on the elbow.

The Yankees have dealt with several injuries this season and still lead the American League East by a comfortable margin. Sabathia is the true leader of their pitching staff, however, and they have to have him healthy to make any sort of deep postseason run.
