British Open 2012: Australian Golfer Adam Scott The Early Leader

The 2012 British Open is already underway as the first player teed off at around 1:19 a.m. EST. As a result, many golfers have either completed or are have almost completed the first 18 holes in round one of the tournament.

As a result, Australian golfer Adam Scott is the atop the leaderboard in round one as he shot a six-under par, 64 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes. Scott birdied eight holes on the day while bogeying just two.

American Zach Johnson is right on his heels as he's currently tied for second with Scotland's Paul Lawrie as both shot a five-under par, 64 in the opening round.

Tiger Woods, the favorite to win this event is currently tied for fifth at three-under par through 15 holes played and local product, Keegan Bradley has yet to tee off.
