Rookie Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels visit Yankee Stadium this weekend.
The New York Yankees begin the traditional second half of the Major League Baseball season Friday when the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim come to Yankee Stadium to begin a three-game series (7:05 p.m. ET, MY9). The Yankees enter Friday's action with the best record in baseball at 52-33 and a seven-game lead in the American League East. The Angels 48-38, lead the wild-card race four games behind the Texas Rangers in the AL West.
The series will provide Yankees fans with their first up-close look ay New Jersey-born Mike Trout, the sensational 20-year-old Anaheim outfielder who leads the American League with a .341 batting average. Trout also has has 12 home runs, 40 RBI and 26 stolen bases in 64 games.
