Stony Brook Vs. LSU, Game 2 Final Score: Seawolves Beat Kevin Gausman, 3-1

Stay connected for news and updates

The Stony Brook Seawolves defeated the LSU Tigers in the second game of the two teams' three-game series Saturday afternoon. That forces a decisive Game 3 on Sunday (1 p.m. ET) for the right to advance to the College World Series.

The first game of the series lasted 12 innings and spanned two days due to rain, as the Seawolves dropped a heartbreaker. Game 2 started just 50 minutes later with Stony Brook facing LSU ace Kevin Gausman

Guasman was recently selected in the 2012 MLB Draft, fourth overall to the Baltimore Orioles. Stony Brook was able to manage three runs off the future Oriole, while Tyler Johnson pitched a gem for the Seawolves. He threw a complete game three-hitter. And all this happened while the teams need to deal with pouring rain for stretches at a time during the opening innings.
