St. John's looks to bounce back Saturday in Game 2 of its 2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament Super Regionals against the Arizona Wildcats after a crushing loss in the series opener.
The Red Storm dropped the opener against Arizona on Friday in 10 innings to fall to 0-1 in the best of three series at Tucson, Arizona. St. John's took a 5-2 lead in the fifth inning and pushed one run across during the opening half of the 10th frame Friday. But Arizona responded with two RBI singles in the bottom half, the second of which qualified as a walkoff base hit for Trent Gilbert.
