The Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors are all considering extending an offer sheet to restricted free agent Jeremy Lin, according to a report from Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld.

The New York Knicks will be able to match any offer Lin receives, so they are likely to be patient as the market dictates his value. Technically, the Knicks could offer Lin at maximum a four-year deal worth $24.5 million, but they are highly unlikely to do that because of their ability to wait and see what offers he receives.

General manager Glen Grunwald has said the Knicks want to retain Lin, who had a breakout season in 2011-12 (to say the least) with averages of 14.6 points, 6.2 assists and 3.1 rebounds. Lin is a marketing machine for the Knicks, as well as the only real point guard the Knicks currently have.
