Golf's toughest yearly test, the US Open, will begin in less than two weeks at the historic Olympic Club in San Fransisco, Calif. However, the journey to try and qualify for golf's second of four major championships begins Monday, June 4, at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, NJ.

73 players will be a part of the 36-hole marathon which will feature PGA Tour pros Marc Turnesa, Daniel Chopra, Jim Herman, Parker McLachlin and Alexandre Rocha. The field will also feature local amateurs and sectional qualifiers who have a handicap of 1.4 or better.

The number of players that will advance to the US Open, June 14-17, will be determined by the size and strength of sectional field, as 12 other courses will hold qualifying tournaments during this week as well.
