2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament: Manhattan Eliminated By Coastal Carolina

The Manhattan Jaspers have been eliminated from the 2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament, after losing an elimination game on Saturday to Coastal Carolina, by a final score of 11-1.

The game remained close until the sixth inning, when CC blew the game open, taking a 9-1 lead. Costal Carolina got on the board in the first inning, taking a 1-0 lead, tacked on two more in the fifth – making the score 3-1 – and then adding eight more over the final three innings.

Tyler Herb was the winning pitcher. He went the full nine innings, and allowed only two hits, to go along with three walks and five strikeouts. The star of the contest was Jacob May, who drove in three runs, hit a homer and stole a base.
