New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning was the typical, non-controversial Manning that Giants fans have come to know on Sunday at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets. Manning, wearing a Mets jersey and with daughter Ava in his left arm, threw out the first pitch before the Mets faced the Cincinnati Reds on Father's Day.
So, does that mean Manning likes the Mets more than the New York Yankees? The answer was perfect Eli.
"I'm both. I'm a New York fan," he said.
Eli didn't throw a strike to the Mets David Wright. The toss came in high -- which I guess you can blame on Ava.
We will just have to see if Manning gets an opportunity to throw out a first pitch at a Yankees game -- and if he can throw a strike next time.
Manning did say he had played baseball in high school, mostly at second base.
