2012 NBA Mock Draft: Moe Harkless Projected To Orlando Magic

Stay connected for news and updates

In Yahoo! Sports latest 2012 NBA Mock Draft, draft expert Jonathan Givony projects former St. John's wing Moe Harkless to be selected with the 19th pick by the Orlando Magic.

The 6-foot-8, 208-pounder averaged 15.5 points and 8.6 rebounds this past season to become the Big East Rookie of the Year. Though scouts consider him a work in progress, he has a large upside thanks to his impressive combination of size and athleticism.

Writes Givony:

Orlando has no coach and no general manager at the moment, making it difficult to pinpoint exactly which direction the team might head in at this early stage. The evolution of Dwight Howard's status with the team will surely play a major role in future plans. It's safe to say that small forward was the weakest position on the Magic last season, and Moe Harkless could very well be deemed the most talented prospect on the board here, even if he'll need time to contribute.
