The Green Bay Packers use the 28th overall selection in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft to select Nick Perry, DE/OLB from USC.
Perry is an edge rusher who provide a nice complement to Clay Matthews and should help a Packers defense that ranked near the bottom of the NFL in 2011.
How The Pick Impacts The Giants
The selection of Perry takes another potential 4-3 defensive end the Giants may have been interested in off the board. There are still several intriguing players left for the Giants, and it will be interesting to see what direction the defending Super Bowl champs choose to go in.
