2012 NFL Draft: Green Bay Packers Select Nick Perry With 28th Pick

The Green Bay Packers use the 28th overall selection in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft to select Nick Perry, DE/OLB from USC.

Perry is an edge rusher who provide a nice complement to Clay Matthews and should help a Packers defense that ranked near the bottom of the NFL in 2011.

How The Pick Impacts The Giants

The selection of Perry takes another potential 4-3 defensive end the Giants may have been interested in off the board. There are still several intriguing players left for the Giants, and it will be interesting to see what direction the defending Super Bowl champs choose to go in.

See Acme Packing Company for reaction to the pick. For more on the 2012 NFL Draft, visit SB Nation New York's StoryStream. For a complete list of 2012 NFL Draft results as they happen, visit SBNation.com. For even more comprehensive coverage of the NFL Draft, visit Mocking The Draft.
