2012 NFL Draft: Philadelphia Eagles Move Up, Select Fletcher Cox At No. 12

The Philadelphia Eagles engineered a trade with the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, moving from the 15th selection to the 12th spot in the 2012 NFL Draft. With that selection the Eagles took Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi State.

Impact On The New York Giants

The Giants' rivals were weak against the run in 2011, particularly up the middle. This move helps the inside of the Eagles' defense. Both the Dallas Cowboys and the Eagles have now moved up in the first round to beef up their defenses.
