David Wright Injury: Mets 3B Will Miss Tuesday's Game With Jammed Finger

Stay connected for news and updates

New York Mets third baseman David Wright will miss Tuesday's game against the Nationals with a jammed finger (via Andy Martino's Twitter).

Wright injured the finger in game one of the series against Washington on Monday. Mets manager Terry Collins said that it is possible that Wright could return for Wednesday's game but that it is painful for Wright to swing the bat right now.

Wright has been excellent in the first four games of the season for the 4-0 Mets. Wright has hit .583 with one home run, four RBI and four walks this season.

Justin Turner could be an option for Wright at third base. Turner is 1-3 in 2012 and hit .260 last season with 4 homers and 51 RBI in 117 games.
