Syracuse Basketball Recruiting 2012: Nerlens Noel Sets Date For Commitment Announcement

Minutes after tallying an unofficial total of six points, five rebounds and three blocks Sunday in the All-American Championship All-Star showcase game, the nation's top college basketball prospect, Nerlens Noel, set a date for the announcement of his commitment decision -- April 11.

"it's time to end this and make a decision," said Noel told the media after helping the East Team defeat the West Team 84-72.

After months of being recruited by the country's top college basketball programs, Noel has narrowed the field down to three schools -- Kentucky Wildcats, Syracuse Orange and Georgetown Hoyas. The two favorites are Kentucky and Syracuse, with a slim majority believing UK will be the choice.

Earlier last week, rumors spread rapidly that Noel was a solid commit to the John Calipari-led Wildcats, but Noel said the rumors were not true.
