Big East Tournament 2012, Marquette Vs. Louisville Halftime Score: Cardinals Ahead, 50-40

A pair of big runs and a team-high 11 points from senior guard Peyton Siva has helped the Louisville Cardinals earn a 50-40 halftime lead over the Marquette Golden Eagles in a Big East Conference Tournament Quarterfinal game at Madison Square Garden. The winner advance to play either the South Florida Bulls or Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the semifinals.

Louisville, the tournament's No. 7 seed, used an early 19-2 run to take an early 21-6 advantage 6:01 into the second half. After Marquette trimmed the margin to just one points, 34-33, using a 12-2 run, the Cardinals outscored the Golden Eagles 16-7 in the half's final 3:41.

Freshman forward Chane Behanan has tallied 10 points and collected five rebounds for Louisville, which finished the half shooing 44.7-pecent.

Meanwhile, Marquette is currently paced by senior guard Darius Johnson-Odom's 16 points. Big East Player of the Year, senior forward Jae Crownder, has just six points and seven rebounds.

Overall, the Golden Eagles have committed 13 turnovers and are getting out-rebonded 22-17.
