2012 Big East Basketball Tournament, West Virginia Vs. Connecticut: Huskies Tip Mountaineers In Overtime

Behind a sensational second half from sophomore guard Shabazz Napier, Connecticut upended West Virginia, 71-67, in overtime Wednesday in the second round of the Big East Conference men's basketball tournament.

Napier poured in 22 points in the second half and overtime to help charge the Huskies comeback, and the defending Big East champions will take on top-seeded Syracuse in Thursday's quarterfinals.

Napier had a chance to end the game in regulation, but misfired on a long-range three point attempt as time expired. That shot was long forgotten, however, after the Huskies outscored the Mountaineers 6-2 in overtime.

West Virginia was led by Kevin Jones, who finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds, but he was one of just two Mountaineers to score in double figures. West Virginia struggled from behind the arc as a team, missing all but three of their 19 three point attempts.
