In second round play of the 2012 Big East basketball tournament, the West Viriginia Mountaineers and Connecticut Huskies are engaging in a tight one, as the Mountaineers lead the Huskies 30-26 at half.
A day after scoring 25 points in a win again DePaul, Connecticut's Jeremy Lamb has 12 points on 5-9 shooting to lead the Huskies, who shot 45.8 percent from the floor as a team.
West Virginia, who avoided having to play in the opening round by virtue of their top eight regular season finish in the Big East, were led by senior forward Kevin Jones, who finished the opening half with 13 points.
The winner of this game will take on Syracuse in quarterfinal action on Friday.
