McDonald's All-American Game Final Score: Shabazz Muhammad Helps West Team To 106-102 Win

The 2012 McDonald's All-American Game was held on Wednesday night in Chicago. The annual high school All-Star game offers the top prospects in the country a chance to showcase their talents and has been the most prestigious high school basketball event in the nation for decades. The West team held on to their lead despite a late threat by the East and emerged victorious by a final score of 106-102.

The West took a 12-point lead after the first half. After the break, it threatened to run away with a blowout win before the East team regrouped and cut the lead to just five points with less than 4:00 remaining in the game. The West was able to hold on through the final minutes, however, to pick up the win.

The country's No. 2 top prospect, Las Vegas' Shabazz Muhammad, was named the MVP of the game after a solid game that included 15 points in the first half.

One of the local players who was part of the East team was DaJuan Coleman, a 6-foot-9, 275-pound center from DeWitt, NY, is committed to play for Jim Boeheim's Syracuse Orange next season. Coleman is rated No. 13 among ESPN's top 100 seniors. Kyle Anderson from Jersey City also played in the game and is committed to the UCLA Bruins.
