Shortly after the No. 5-seeded UMass Minutement and No. 3 Stanford Cardinals play its NIT semifinal contests, which will feature one of them advancing to Thursday's finals, the No. 1 Washington Huskies and No. 6 Minnesota Golden Gophers will march onto the hardwood at Madison Square Garden.
In its history, Washington is 1-4 at MSG, with the only victory coming way back in 1941. Meanwhile, the Golden Gophers are making their fifth trip to the NIT Final Four, where they are 3-1 and earned the tournament's crown in 1998 and '93.
Overall, these two program have met 15 times with Washington going 9-6.
