NCAA Hockey Tournament 2012: First Round TV Schedule, Game Times

On Sunday, the NCAA Hockey Tournament released its 16-team field and television schedule during ESPNU's Selection Show, and the Union Dutchmen earned a No. 1 seed in the East Region, while the Cornell Big Red earned a No. 4 seed in the Midwest Region.

According to the TV Schedule, which was released shortly after the brackets, Cornell and Union will both play its first-round contests on Friday night on ESPNU. The Dutchmen will face No. 4-seeded Michigan State at 3 p.m. ET, while the Big Red and No. 1 Michigan Wolverines will face each other in the night cap at 9 p.m. ET.

In between the two match-up will be UMass Lowell against Miami (OH) at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

Here's Saturday's first-round TV schedule:

Western Michigan vs. No. 4 North Dakota, 1:30 p.m. on ESPN3
Air Force vs. No. 1 Boston College, 4 p.m. on ESPNU
Boston University vs. Minnesota, 5 p.m. on ESPN3
Maine vs. Minnesota-Duluth, 7:30 p.m. on ESPN3

Second-round TV schedule:

Saturday
Union/Michigan State winner vs. Miami/UMass Lowell winner, 6:30 p.m. on ESPNU/ESPN3
Ferris State/Denver winner vs. Cornell/Michigan winner, 9 p.m. on ESPNU/ESPN3

Sunday
Minnesota/Boston U. winner vs. Western Michigan/North Dakota winner, 5:30 p.m. on ESPNU/ESPN3
Boston College/Air Force winner vs. Minnesota-Duluth/Maine winner, 8 p.m. on ESPNU/ESPN3, 8 p.m.
