The Manhattan Jaspers men's basketball program will look to continue its march in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament Sunday, as they visit the Fairfield Stags in a second-round contest (4 p.m. ET). The Jaspers (21-12) are trying to move on to the quarterfinal round, where they would face the Robert Morris Colonials.
Wednesday, Manhattan downed the Albany Great Danes 89-79 in the first round. Jaspers' forward George Beamon led all scorers with a game-best 34 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fairfield defeated the Yale Bulldogs in the first round 68-56 as junior guard Colin Nickerson scored a career-high 22 points and senior forward Rakim Sanders finished with 21 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
