NCAA Tournament 2012: Michigan State Vs. LIU-Brooklyn: Spartans Lead At Half, 42-37

The Michigan State Spartans are trying to avoid becoming the next high seed to fall on Friday, and hold a 42-37 lead over the LIU-Brooklyn Blackbirds at halftime.

Draymon Green is showing why he is one of the best players in the nation, scoring 9 points and pulling down 6 rebounds. Adreian Payne and Keith Appling have added 8 points each.

The Blackbirds have been able to stay in the game with their three point shooting, as they have made five of their eight attempts from behind the arc, while Michigan State is 0-for-5 from deep. Michigan State has had their way with LIU-Brooklyn on the glass, holding a 20-10 advantage in rebounding.

C.J. Garner leads all Blackbird scorers with 8 points.
