First round play begins Thursday in the America East 2012 conference tournament, with just one game on the slate.
Binghamton and UMBC, the conference's bottom two teams during the regular season, will square off at the University of Hartford -- which will host each game up until the finals -- with the winner to take on top-seeded Stony Brook in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Both Binghamton and UMBC struggled through the regular season, but Binghamton fans will be quick to point to their lone win of the season, which was against Vermont, the conference's second best regular season team.
All four of the quarterfinals match-ups will be played on Satudrday, and are listed below (all times Eastern):
1. Stony Brook Vs. 8. UMBC/9. BInghamton, 12:05 p.m.
2. Vermont Vs. 7. Maine, 6:05 p.m.
3. Boston University Vs. Hartford, 8:15 p.m.
4. Albany Vs. 5. New Hampshire, 2:15 p.m.
