The final day of the 2012 NFL Combine will take place Tuesday, as just the defensive backs are left to be put through drills and workouts in Indianapolis. Phillip Thomas, a defensive back prospect from the Syracuse Orange football program, is the only local collegiate player remaining at the seven-day event at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Thomas (5-foot-11, 190 pounds) is trying to catch the eyes of NFL front offices and scouts so he can possibily get his named called during the 2012 NFL Draft, April 26-28. Currently, Thomas is not listed as a possible selection in the three-day draft at New York's Radio City Musical Hall.
The biggest event for Thomas on Tuesday will be the 40-yard dash, which he hopes to run in less than 4.4 seconds.
