2012 NFL Combine Preview: NFL Draft Prospects Begin Journey To Indianapolis

The 2012 NFL Combine will begin Wednesday as more than 300 NFL Draft prospects will converge on Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium in the next four days as they all try to showcase their abilities to front-office decision-makers during the next seven days.

The objective over the week will be to poke, prod, interview and test prospective players to find out who's the best at their respective positions and determine who deserves to have their name called during the 2012 NFL Draft, April 26-28.

This year, SB Nation New York's coverage will highlight a pair of possible first-round selections, Rutgers Scarlet Knights wide receiver Mohamed Sanu and Syracuse Orange defensive end Chandler Jones.

Sanu will arrive in Indy Thursday and will not begin Combine workouts until Saturday, while Jones arrives Friday and starts drills Sunday.

Syracuse will also be represented by tight end Nick Provo (arrive Wed., workout/drills start Sat.), defensive back Phillip Thomas (Sat./Tues.) and offensive lineman Andrew Tiller (Wed./Sat.). Rutgers defensive end Justin Francis (Fri./Mon.) and offensive guard Desmond Wynn (Wed./Sat.) have also received invites to the Combine.
