Honda Classic 2012 Final Leaderboard: Rory McIlroy Holds Off Tiger Woods; Keegan Bradley Finishes Tied For 12th Place

Tiger Wood gave it his best try, however, Rory McIlroy was just a bit better in Sunday's final round of The Honda Classic, played at the PGA National at in Palms Beach Garden, FL. McIlroy carded a final-round score of 1-under par, 69, to make his four-day total 12-under par, which was just two strokes better than Woods, who posted a career-best final round score of 8-under par, 62, to finish with a four-day total of 10-under par and a tie for second place.

Woods' comeback march featured two eagles, four birdies and no bogies, while McIlroy scratched and clawed his way to his first victory of the year. The win also will propel McIlroy to the top of the World Golf Rankings for the first time in his very-young career.

Meanwhile, Tom Gillis made a birdie on the final hole to tie Woods. St. John's University graduate Keegan Bradley finished in a tie for 12th place at 4-under par.

Honda Classic 2012 Leaderboard Update: Tiger Woods Cards Career Best Final Round Of 62

In the end it may not be enough, however, Tiger Woods has made the final round of the 2012 Honda Classic at the PGA National in Palms Beach Garden, FL. extremely interesting. Woods made an 8-foot eagle putt on the final hole to close out his best final-round ever, a 8-under par, 62. The score makes Woods the clubhouse leader at 10-under par and puts him just one shot behind leader Rory McIlroy, who just pared the par-3 15th hole.

Woods comeback march featured two eagles, four birdies and no bogies, and has put a lot of pressure on McIlroy who has three holes to play.

Tom Gillis is in third place at 9-under par and he has three holes remaining.

Currently, St. John's University graduate Keegan Bradley is in a tie for eighth place, as he has four holes to play and is 5-under par.

PGA Honda Classic 2012: Final Round TV Schedule, Tee Times, Pairings

Tournament leader Rory McIlroy tees off at 10:30 a.m. ET today in the final round of the 2012 PGA Honda Classic. A victory by McIlroy would make him No. 1 in the Official World Golf Rankings. McIlroy is 11-under par, two shots ahead of Tom Gillis and Harris English.

St. John’s graduate Keegan Bradley will tee off in the second-to-last pairing just 10 minutes ahead of McIlroy. Bradley begins the day four shots back at seven-under par. Tiger Woods, two-under for the tournament, tees off at 9:20 a.m.

Tee times have been moved up and players placed into threesomes for the final round as thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon.

The final round was scheduled to be shown live on NBC, but due to the weather and the changes in tee times, NBC will likely end up showing a tape-delayed broadcast, beginning at 3 p.m.

2012 PGA Honda Classic: Keegan Bradley Four Shots Back

St. John’s University graduate Keegan Bradley will begin the final round of the 2012 PGA Honda Classic on Sunday four shots behind leader Rory McIlroy. Bradley shot a two-under-par 68 Saturday and is at seven-under-par for the tournament.

McIlroy is at 11-under, two shots ahead of Tom Gillis and Harris English. McIlroy shot 66 on Saturday. If he wins the event McIlroy will take over the No. 1 ranking in the Official World Golf Rankings. McIlroy has not won a tournament since capturing the U.S. Open last season.

Justin Rose and Brian Harman are tied with Bradley at seven-under par. Dicky Pride and Charl Schwartzel are just behind Bradley at six-under par.

Tiger Woods shot 69 Saturday, but is far off McIlroy’s pace. Woods is two-under-par for the tournament, nine shots back.

The third round of the 2012 Honda Classic already is in progress Saturday, and St. John's University graduate Keegan Bradley is in the hunt for his first win of the new season. Entering Saturday, Bradley sits just three shot back of leaders, Tom Gillis (USA) and Justin Rose (ENG) who each are at 8-under par.

Bradley carded a 3-under par, 67, in round one, which was followed by a 2-under par, 68, in Friday's round two to sit in a eighth-place tie with Harris English (USA) and Charles Howell III (USA).

2012 U.S. Open Champion, Rory McIlroy (IRE), and Dicky Pride (USE) each sit just a shot back of the leaders at 7-under par, while Vaughn Taylor (USA), Brian Harman (USA) and Jimmy Walker (USA) are all tied for fifth place.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods is at 1-under par and will tee off at 10:57 a.m. ET on Saturday. Lee Westwood (ENG) will be his playing partner as they're both in a tie for 33rd place.

Bradley's tee time is at 1 p.m., while the leaders tee off at 1:40 p.m.

Accenture Match Play Championship 2012 Results: Keegan Bradley Ousted

Keegan Bradley, a St. John's University graduate, was ousted from the Accenture Match Play Championship during Thursday's second round. Bradley was defeated by Miguel Angel Jimenez, 2 and 1.

Jimenez won the first three holes to take a commanding lead. Bradley got back within one after 12 holes, but could not catch Jimenez.

Accenture Match Play 2012 Bracket, Tee Times, TV Schedule: Keegan Bradley Faces Geoff Ogilvy In Round-One Match

Sixty-four of the world's best golfers will converge at The Ritz Carlton Golf Club Wednesday, as the Accenture Match Play Championship begins in Marana, AZ. This single-elimination, bracket-style event is unlike any other in golf, as players try to survive the NCAA Tournament-like setup that crowns one champion in the end.

Keegan Bradley, a St. John's University graduate and winner of the 2011 PGA Championship, is a No. 5 seed and will face No. 12 Geoff Ogilvy of Australia. The winner of the match will advance to play either No. 4 Sergio Garcia (Spain) or No. 13 M.A. Jimenez (Spain).

Bradley's bracket features No. 1 seeded Rory McIlroy (Ireland), the winner of the 2011 U.S. Open and No. 2 Jason Day (Australia).

Bradley is coming off an exciting second-place finish at last weekend's Northern Trust Open, which featured Bill Haas edging out Bradley and Phil Mickelson in a sudden-death playoff to earn his fourth-career victory.

England's Luke Donald and Lee Westwood and Germany's Martin Kaymer are all No. 1 seeds in their respective brackets.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods earned a No. 5 seed and will play against Gonzalo Fdez-Castano of Spain.

Mickelson has elected not to play in this five-day event.
