Big East Tournament 2012: What The Bracket Would Look Like Today

In about three weeks, the Big East Tournament 2012 will tipoff at Madison Square Garden, and for those college hoops fans curious about their team's seeding, well, you're in luck, as SB Nation New York will provide frequent updates from today until the start of the event.

In just under three weeks, one of the best event in college sports, the Big East Conference Tournament 2012, will tipoff (Tuesday, March 6) at Madison Square Garden in New York. For a college-sports record 30th straight year, the "World's Most Famous Arena" will host the five-day event, which will feature 16 teams and 15 total games.

This will be the fourth consecutive year that the Big East Tournament will showcase all 16 teams with the winner earning the league's automatic qualifying spot in the NCAA Tournament.

For those Big East fans curious about where their squad stands when it comes to the tournament's seeding, well, you're in luck because SB Nation New York will be providing you frequent updates from today until the start of the tournament.

So, without further delay here's a look

Tuesday, March 6 (First Round):

Noon ET: (No. 16-seed) Providence Friars vs. (9) West Virginia Mountaineers
2 p.m.: (13) Villanova Wildcats vs. (12) Rutgers Scarlet Knights
7 p.m.: (15) DePaul Blue Demons vs. (10) Connecticut Huskies
9 p.m.: (14) St. John's Red Storm vs. (11) Pittsburgh Panthers

Wednesday, March 7 (Second Round on ESPN):

Noon: (WINNER of No. 16/9) vs. (8) Seton Hall Pirates
2 p.m.: (WINNER of No. 13/12) vs. (5) South Florida Bulls
7 p.m.: (WINNER of No. 15/10) vs. (7) Cincinnati Bearcats
9 p.m.: (WINNER of No. 14/11) vs. (6) Louisville Cardinals

Thursday, March 8 (Quarterfinal Round on ESPN):
