Giants vs. Saints halftime score: New York leads 21-13 at halftime

Despite being outgained, the Giants lead the Saints, 21-13, at MetLife Stadium after the first half on Sunday. Turnovers and a big special teams play aided New York in getting a lead in the first half.

The New York Giants lead the New Orleans Saints, 21-13, at halftime on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

The Saints opened the scoring in the first quarter when Elbert Mack took an interception of Eli Manning back 73 yards for a touchdown. The Giants responded right away when David Wilson returned the ensuing kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown. New York scored another a touchdown after a Saints lost fumble set the Giants up with great field position. A pair of Garrett Hartley field goals pulled the Saints within a point after Saints' drives stalled in the red zone. Eli Manning went to work just before halftime and drove the Giants down the field for a touchdown pass to Domenik Hixon with 20 seconds remaining.

Eli Manning settled down after the pick six and was 15-of-22 passing for 146 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the first half. Saints quarterback Drew Brees was 11-of-17 passing for 126 yards in the first half. The Giants rushed for only 13 yards in the first half and were outgained 228 to 159.
