Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the 52-27 win was the special teams play. David Wilson set the franchise record with 327 all purpose yards, and couple of big returns helped set Eli Manning up with strong field position.
SB Nation's Giants blog, Big Blue View, was really impressed with the special teams play. Not only did they give Wilson some love in this article, but they also acknowledged the guys up front who cleared the lanes for him to dash through.
Kudos to players all around the kickoff return team for creating the holes for Wilson and Jernigan to run through. Jim Cordle, Henry Hynoski, Mark Herzlich, Spencer Paysinger, Bear Pascoe and Hill all made some exceptional blocks and hits to make this night possible for special teams. It would be a crime not to give all of them credit.
The Giants have this year what had been missing for the last few seasons, and that's a powerful return team.
New York will look to continue their winning ways next weekend when they hit the road for a huge showdown with the 11-2 Atlanta Falcons. Without a complete performance, it's tough to see the Giants winning. For a franchise that is known for turning it on late in the season, this will be a true test to see what Tom Coughlin's team is made of.
