All five teams in the Atlantic Division were in action on Friday night, and all five were victorious.

The New York Knicks took care of business on Friday night against the Washington Wizards, cruising to a 108-87 victory. New York jumped out to an early lead (26-17 after the first quarter) and never looked back. Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith each scored 20 points, while Tyson Chandler scored 12 and grabbed 10 rebounds. Jordan Crawford led the Wizards with 17 points.

The Brooklyn Nets also notched a victory on Friday, defeating the Orlando Magic, 98-86. Even without leading scorer Brook Lopez, the Nets got solid play from each of their five starters, all of whom finished in double figures. Joe Johnson led the way with 22 points. This was Brooklyn's fifth straight win. Glen Davis was Orlando's leading scorer, with 16 points.

With their wins, the Knicks and Nets both advanced to 11-4 and remained tied atop the Atlantic division. Not far behind, the Philadelphia 76ers moved to 10-6 with a 104-98 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. The Boston Celtics (9-7) defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 96-78. And the Toronto Raptors (4-13) got a win over the Phoenix Suns, 101-97.
