Eli Manning: 'I didn't play well'

Jeff Zelevansky

Manning did not have his best game on Sunday night, which led to the Giants losing one of their bigger games this season.

Eli Manning did not look like his normal self on Sunday afternoon. The veteran quarterback completed just 10 passes for 125 yards, and he failed to throw a touchdown for the first time all season. Add in a costly interception and it was a day to forget for New York.

As expected, the Giants struggled on offense as a whole and eventually lost to the Steelers by a score of 24-20. Manning was not happy about the way he and his teammates performed. He acknowledged the poor performance, saying "Obviously, I didn't play well."

"No one likes to lose, and no one likes to play poorly. You're hurting about that," Manning said. "You want to come in and watch the film and see how we're going to get better."

Manning and the Giants will begin preparations this week before heading to Cincinnati to face Andy Dalton and the Bengals. Look for Eli to have a big game against a secondary his brother, Peyton, tore apart on Sunday.
