Dominique Williams rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown, as Wagner defeated Colgate in the opening round of the FCS playoffs, 31-20.
The Wagner Seahawks advanced in the 2012 FCS playoffs on Saturday, defeating the Colgate Raiders, 31-20 in the first round of the FCS playoffs.
Dominique Williams led Wagner's offensive attack, rushing the ball 21 times for 106 yards and a touchdown.
Wagner quarterback Nick Doscher was 11-of-19 passing for 95 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Anthony Carrington caught two passes for 22 yards and a touchdown, while David Crawford had three receptions, including a touchdown reception, for 23 yards and a touchdown.
Wagner's defense played well. Colgate quarterback Gavin McCarney was just 13-of-22 passing for 119 yards and threw two interceptions.
McCarney led the Raiders in rushing, too, carrying the ball 19 times for 97 yards and a touchdown. Jordan McCord added Colgate's other touchdown, rushing the ball 13 times for 81 yards and a touchdown score.
Wagner will now take on Eastern Washington in the second round on Saturday, Dec. 1.
