The No. 10 Stony Brook Seawolves host Villanova Saturday in the 2012 FCS playoffs

Stony Brook will host No. 14 Villanova this Saturday for the right to play No. 2 overall seed Montana State next week in the FCS playoffs. The Seawolves earned an at-large bid out of the Big South Conference. The Wildcats earned the Colonial Athletic Association's automatic bid after a fortunate series of outcomes last Saturday.

Villanova (8-3, 6-2) averages 263 yards a game on the ground. The Wildcats are 5-1 in road games this year -- the only loss was to Temple -- and they average a 37-14 win in hostile stadiums. Kevin Monangai rushes for 108 yards per game. Option quarterback John Robertson runs for 85 yards per game and throws for 166 a game, completing his passes at a 61 percent rate.

Stony Brook (9-2, 5-1) is a dream for the fan of ground football. The Seawolves average 290 yards a game on running plays. Running back Miguel Mayonset won Big South Offensive Player of the Year honors by a unanimous vote: He paced all FCS players in rushing (1,721 yards), yards per carry (7.72) and scored 21 touchdowns, good for third in the division. Behind Mayonset on the Seawolves' backfield depth chart is former Iowa back Marcus Coker.
