Giants vs. Bengals score update: New York falls behind early, trails, 14-3, after 1 quarter

The New York Giants trail the Cincinnati Bengals, 14-3, after giving up two early passing touchdowns in the first quarter.

The New York Giants gave up two touchdowns in the first five minutes of the game on Sunday and trail the Cincinnati Bengal, 14-3, after one quarter at Paul Brown Stadium.

The Bengals opened the scoring early when A.J. Green got behind the Giants' defense for a 56-yard touchdown pass from Andy Dalton.

Cincinnati doubled the lead on a 11-yard pass from Dalton at Andrew Hawkins less than two minutes later.

The Giants cut into the lead on a 23-yard field goal by Lawrence Tynes with 5:38 left in the quarter. The field goal capped a 6-play, 22-yard drive that had been set up by a Cincinnati fumble.

Through one quarter, the Giants offense has struggled to get going, recording only 35 total yards and two first downs.

Cincinnati has found success passing the ball, picking up 120 of its 140 total yards through the air. The Bengals will have the ball in New York territory to begin the second quarter.

The game is being televised on FOX.
